Erica Espy, MA,
Resident in Counseling

Supervised by Dr. Shepard, License No: 0701005604

Erica joined the mental health field with a strong conviction that everyone is deserving of a safe space where they can come home to themselves.

As a therapist, she centers her work around humanistic, strengths-based modalities and approach treatment through an attachment-focused lens. She aims to be intentional about cultural humility, weaving in storytelling, advocacy and salient identities and communities into the context of treatment. Erica's goal is to walk alongside and support clients as they unpack their story and work through difficult life seasons, trauma, and pain. She has experience serving individuals across the lifespan, from young children to older adults in their 70s, as well as couples. She was treated a variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety, insomnia, bipolar disorder and mania/psychotic episodes, anger management, parent/child relationships, addiction, domestic violence, sexual trauma, spirituality, religion, LGBTQ+-related stress, women’s issues, grief, PTSD, and career development.

In the presence of a therapeutic relationship, my hope is that those I’m privileged to work with can find a respite from their suffering as they discover what wholeness looks like for them.
