I welcome opportunities to educate and train the next generation of mental health practitioners.
I meet these opportunities in the following ways:

Counselor Education

In addition to maintaining a small practice, I serve as Assistant Professor in the School of Professional Counseling at Lindsey Wilson College. The mission of this distance-learning program is to “address the diverse academic and community needs of Appalachia" by training mental health practitioners where they live so that they are equipped to serve the mental health needs of their home communities. I'm proud to contribute to this mission.

Post-Graduate Clinical Supervision

I have been approved by the Virginia Board of Counseling to supervise postgraduate residents (i.e., trainees) toward licensure to practice independently as professional counselors and/or marriage and family therapists. If you are interested in working with me toward one or both of these licenses, please contact me here to take next steps.
