Ms. Bailey holds Master of Arts (MA) and Education Specialist (EdS) degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. She has been practicing as a Resident in Counseling since 2024 and began working under Dr. Shepard’s supervision in April of 2025. 

Kate has experience with clients of all ages, and currently works with adolescents and adults. She has worked with a myriad of issues, including trauma, grief, life transitions, depression, and anxiety. Kate is EMDR trained, and has specific interest and experience in working with people who have experienced trauma, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and members of historically marginalized communities. Kate uses a trauma-informed and integrative approach to therapy.
