Ms. Khan holds a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Forensic and Legal Psychology from Marymount University in Arlington, VA. She has been practicing as a Resident in Counseling under Dr. Shepard’s supervision since July of 2023, and she will begin work toward a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Counselor Education and Supervision at Marymount U. during the Fall of 2024. Ms. Khan is bilingual, speaking both English and Urdu fluently. She has extensive experience working with clients who come from immigrant, LGBTQIA+, neurodiverse, and other historically minoritized communities, and she has particular clinical and scholarly interests in helping clients recover from trauma.
